Great question! Like so many of life's great questions, the answer is "it depends." Let's dive in and explore some options together.
The installation method for a lamppost sign varies depending on the type of lamppost you have, the material it is made of, and the size of the lamppost. Additionally, your lamppost may have electrical wiring or gas lines running inside it. This can make drilling into the lamppost extremely dangerous.
If your lamppost has a gas flame or electric light on top, do not drill into the lamppost!
If you know there are no gas or electrical lines in the way, and your lamppost is made of wood or soft metal, you can attach the lamppost sign with screws or bolts. There are three small mounting holes in the bracket where it sits against the lamppost. Two of these holes are easily accessible with a screwdriver, allowing you to mount the sign with screws or bolts.
One of our favorite methods of installing the lamppost sign is to use black straps that hold the sign firmly to the lamppost. These straps are similar to zip ties, but they are much stronger. This method is particularly useful if your lamppost is made of very hard metal or has electrical wires or gas lines running inside it.
I hope this helps answer your question. As you can see, there are several ways to install the sign depending on your lamppost and situation. If you have any thoughts you'd like to share, please leave a comment or send us a message.
